After enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), you maybe encounter login issues with some apps that don’t offer MFA support.
You can still sign in using an App Password in this situation. App Password is a specific account password for just one app. Creating an App Password is simple and can be done at any time, so you don’t even need to remember it.
How to create a new app password
- Go to the Security Info page and sign in to your Microsoft account.
- Click on “+ Add Method“.
- In the pop-up, click on the drop-down list and select ‘App Password‘, then click ‘Add‘
- Specify the name for the password so you can remember what app this password for, then click ‘Next‘
- A new app password is generated automatically, and enter this app password where you would enter your normal Microsoft account password in the application.
